As we planned IRAE 2027, our conversations kept returning to the magic of romance itself—the stories that make us laugh, cry, swoon, and believe in happily-ever-afters. From those conversations, Once Upon a Romance was born. This enchanting new theme invites readers and authors to celebrate every genre, trope, and style of romance storytelling, creating a welcoming space where all love stories and all romance readers can find their place in the tale.
