What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest release is Pluck Me Sideways (published September 15, 2025). It's part of Francesca Penn's The Plucking Series. I was so excited to be invited to add a story to the second season of this series. It's a frenemies-to-lovers, best friend's brother story. Titles or character names usually come to me first when an idea comes along. Once the invitation was extended, I immediately thought of the title since I say something similar all the time. The plot slowly trickled to my mind, and I thought about how fun it would be to write a story with frenemies and best friend's brother vibes. And I had a blast writing Zinnia and Campbell.

Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Nope. At least I don't think so. What I do is try to do is schedule some writing as soon as I wake up. For me, the words flow a lot easier since I'm not bogged down by the day yet.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I would say I'm more pantser than plotter, but there's elements to both that come into play depending on the story I'm working on.
Which titles are you bringing to IRAE?
All of them. LMAO. My books are contemporary romance; some with high steam and others are slow burn. I hope that readers can find a variety with me. I also have a few other non-novel related items that I hope to bring: coloring books, etc. Lastly, I have some special edition hardbacks that folks can only get from me in person, particularly one that I think the IRAE fam hasn't seen yet.
What’s your writing process?
Like I mentioned in a response above, I tend to write in the mornings right after I wake up. I feel like my juices flow a lot better at the earliest part of my day. If inspiration hits at another point, then I tend to jot ideas or dialogue down on my phone and then add it in later. Before the pandemic, I was able to write on 2 stories at a time, jumping between them if I got stuck on one story. It helps that I write my high steam books in 3rd person and my slow burn books in 1st person (for the most part). That's one aspect of my writing process I'd like to get back to eventually.
What are you looking forward to at IRAE?
I'm most looking forward to seeing everyone. Hopefully, I have another new release to share with folks that should be published in March. And also, April is my birthday month, so I love celebrating with my IRAE fam. 2026 will be the 40-year milestone for me. Woohoo!
